Training camp is officially underway for theBaltimore Ravens, and with it comes one of the most anticipated storylines of the summer. After nearly two decades under John Harbaugh, the organization is entering a new erawith new head coach Jesse Minter leading the way.
Whenever a franchise experiences a coaching change, especially one involving a respected and successful predecessor, comparisons are inevitable. Players are asked what feels different, what has stayed the same, and whether the atmosphere inside the building has shifted.
That was certainly the case when veteran left tackle Ronnie Stanley met with reporters following practice. Months removed from Harbaugh's departure, the mood around Baltimore appears to be one of appreciation for the past
without becoming consumed by it. Veterans have acknowledged what Harbaugh meant to the organization while embracing the opportunity to write the next chapter under Minter. Stanley echoed that mindset when discussing the transition.
“Change is inevitable. … I try to look at it as glass half full and focus on the positives.”
Most would agree. Though the Harbaugh era was successful, sometimes a good reset can shift things. There's hope that Jesse Minter changes the atmosphere for the better. So far, according to Baltimore's star offensive tackle, that's exactly what's been going on.

It's another encouraging endorsement for Minter, who officially became the fourth head coach in Ravens franchise history on January 22 after successful stints as Baltimore's defensive backs coach, Michigan's defensive coordinator, and, most recently, the Los Angeles Chargers' defensive coordinator, among other stops.
Stanley's media session wasn't limited to discussing the new coaching staff. He also offered a glowing assessment of running back Derrick Henry, who continues to defy expectations despite entering the later stages of his career.
"They don't build humans like that," Stanley said, marveling at the All-Pro running back's unique combination of size, power and durability. The veteran tackle also expressed complete confidence in first-round pick Vega Ioane, one of the Ravens' most anticipated rookies entering training camp.
"I'm not worried about him one bit," Stanley said of the young offensive lineman.

That's notable praise coming from one of the league's premier left tackles. Stanley understands the challenges young offensive linemen face as they transition to the NFL, and his confidence suggests Baltimore believes Ioane is well-equipped to handle those expectations.
Training camp is still in its early stages, so there are no meaningful conclusions to draw about what the 2026 season will bring. Still, one theme emerged from Stanley's availability: confidence.
Confidence in Minter's leadership. Confidence that Henry remains one of football's most unique talents. Confidence that Ioane is ready for the challenge ahead. Those are exactly the kinds of endorsements Ravens fans hoped to hear as the franchise begins its next chapter.
