The Baltimore Ravens flirted with another fourth-quarter disaster before Lamar Jackson and Tyler Loop turned their trip to Brazil into a victory. Loop kicked a 56-yard field goal as time expired, lifting Baltimore to a 34-31 win over the Dallas Cowboys at Maracanã Stadium. The kick rescued the Ravens after an 11-point lead disappeared during another troubling fourth-quarter stretch.
Baltimore led 24-13 after Jackson found Chris Moore for a 4-yard touchdown. Dallas answered with 15 consecutive points, including a 96-yard touchdown drive after the Ravens failed a fourth-down attempt near the goal line.
Jackson responded when Baltimore needed him most. He directed an 11-play, 64-yard drive and connected with Matthew Hibner for a 21-yard touchdown
with 1:30 remaining. Dak Prescott then moved Dallas into position for Brandon Aubrey’s tying field goal, setting up Loop’s winning kick.
Jackson finished 15 of 20 for 186 yards, two touchdowns and a 136.7 passer rating. He also rushed for 50 yards. Derrick Henry added 89 yards and two touchdowns on 26 carries, while Zay Flowers produced 84 receiving yards and a 20-yard return. The Ravens were far from perfect. They converted only 3 of 9 third downs, failed on both fourth-down attempts, and allowed 415 yards. Still, they found a way to finish, which mattered most after the previous week’s collapse against New Orleans.
