The Ravens enter Sunday Night Football with Tyler Huntley taking over at quarterback and their newest offensive lineman waiting to make his debut.
Lamar Jackson is out with an ankle injury, while center Cam Jurgens remains sidelined with a concussion following his trade from Philadelphia. Baltimore will also be without edge rusher Trey Hendrickson, and Zay Flowers, Marlon Humphrey, and Andrew Vorhees are questionable.
The Ravens are 3-1, but maintaining that momentum against Atlanta will require contributions throughout the roster. Baltimore's updated printable roster lists 52 active players and 17 on the practice squad entering the Week 5 matchup at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Here is the position-by-position breakdown.
Quarterbacks: Tyler Huntley starts with Lamar Jackson out
Active roster: Lamar Jackson,
Tyler Huntley, Joe Fagnano.
Jackson missed practice all week and was ruled out Friday. Huntley completed eight of nine passes for 63 yards in relief against Tennessee, and Fagnano provides the remaining active-roster depth.
Jackson has thrown for 967 yards, six touchdowns and one interception. Baltimore cannot expect Huntley to replicate all of that production. Still, it needs him to protect the pocket, get the ball out on time, and take advantage of opportunities when Atlanta commits defenders to the run.
Running backs: Derrick Henry carries the largest responsibility
Active roster: Derrick Henry, Justice Hill, Rasheen Ali.
Practice squad: Jonathan Ward. Lucas Scott provides fullback depth.
Henry has 374 rushing yards and seven touchdowns on 89 carries. Hill has added 60 rushing yards and five receptions for 44 yards, giving Baltimore another passing option.
With Jackson unavailable, Henry becomes even more important to the offense's ability to stay on schedule.
Wide receivers: Zay Flowers' foot injury remains a concern
Active roster: Zay Flowers, Rashod Bateman, Chris Moore, Elijah Sarratt, Devontez Walker, LaJohntay Wester.
Practice squad: Xavier Guillory, Gage Larvadain.
Flowers is questionable after being limited throughout the week with a foot injury. He has 18 receptions for 352 yards and two touchdowns, averaging 19.6 yards per catch. Bateman has 11 catches for 171 yards and a touchdown.
Bateman and Moore received no game designations after practicing fully on Friday. If Flowers is available, Baltimore needs to get him involved without forcing Huntley to hold the ball. If Flowers sits or has a reduced role, the remaining receivers must provide separation and yards after the catch.
Tight ends: Nick Vannett joins the active roster
Active roster: Mark Andrews, Matt Hibner, Josh Cuevas, Nick Vannett.
Practice squad: Ty Pezza. Lucas Scott is listed at fullback/tight end on the printable roster.
Vannett was signed from the practice squad Wednesday after Durham Smythe went on injured reserve. Andrews practiced all week fully with a hand injury and received no game designation.
Andrews has 18 receptions for 149 yards and a touchdown. Hibner has five catches for 70 yards and a score, giving Baltimore another productive option. This group can help Huntley with underneath routes while adding protection and run-game support. Vannett's promotion gives Baltimore a veteran blocking option as Smythe's absence changes the rotation.
Offensive tackles: Ronnie Stanley and Roger Rosengarten anchor the edges
Active roster: Ronnie Stanley, Roger Rosengarten, Carson Vinson. Emery Jones Jr. is listed at guard/tackle.
Practice squad tackles depth: A.J. Arcuri, Chuma Edoga, Gerad Lichtenhan.
Stanley received no game designation after a week that included rest and toe and ankle issues. He was limited Friday, while Rosengarten remains the other established starting tackle.
Huntley's mobility can help Baltimore escape pressure, but the tackles still need to provide a pocket for him to work in. Jones and Vinson supply roster flexibility if the Ravens need to adjust during the game. Keeping the edges secure also helps Henry reach the line of scrimmage without immediately having to avoid penetration.
Interior offensive line: Cam Jurgens must wait to debut
Active roster: Cam Jurgens, Vega Ioane, John Simpson, Andrew Vorhees, Emery Jones Jr.
Practice squad interior depth: Andre James, Kyle Hergel. Arcuri and Edoga also provide offensive line depth.
Jurgens is out with a concussion, so Baltimore's trade does not immediately solve Sunday's center situation. Ioane has been handling the move from guard inside. Vorhees is questionable with a foot injury, while Simpson practiced fully on Friday and received no game designation.
The Ravens acquired Jurgens and a 2027 seventh-round pick for a 2027 fifth-round pick and a 2028 second-round pick. He will wear No. 64. The move gives Baltimore an established center for the future, but Ioane and the available guards still must handle Atlanta's interior front this week.
Jovaughn Gwyn and Ethan Pocic went on injured reserve Oct. 3. Hergel's standard elevation against Tennessee was temporary; he remains on the practice squad. James provides another experienced center option.
Defensive line: Baltimore needs disruption without losing run discipline
Active roster: Nnamdi Madubuike, Travis Jones, Calais Campbell, John Jenkins, Aeneas Peebles, Broderick Washington Jr.
Practice squad: Rayshaun Benny, David Olajiga.
Jones has eight tackles, while Madubuike and Campbell have seven apiece. The larger challenge is keeping Bijan Robinson from finding open cutback lanes and preventing Atlanta from controlling the line of scrimmage.
Interior pressure can also keep Michael Penix Jr. from stepping into downfield throws. Baltimore needs that disruption to come within its assignments. Robinson can punish an overaggressive front just as quickly as he can exploit a missed tackle. Campbell's Friday absence was listed as rest, and he received no game designation.
Edge rushers: Trey Hendrickson's absence changes the rotation
Active roster: Trey Hendrickson, Tavius Robinson, Mike Green, Ethan Burke, Zion Young.
Practice squad: Adisa Isaac, Kaimon Rucker.
Hendrickson is out with a finger injury and missed all week of practice. Robinson leads Baltimore with two sacks, while Green has one. Burke also recorded a sack against Tennessee.
The remaining edge rushers need to generate pressure while maintaining contain. Penix can attack downfield when given time, but chasing sacks at the expense of run responsibilities would create another problem against Robinson. Isaac and Rucker remain practice squad options unless Baltimore announces an elevation or signing.
Inside linebackers: Roquan Smith leads the effort against Bijan Robinson
Active roster: Roquan Smith, Trenton Simpson, Teddye Buchanan, Jay Higgins IV.
Practice squad: Carl Jones Jr.
Smith has 34 tackles, a sack, and an interception. Simpson has 26 tackles and an interception, giving Baltimore production in the middle of the defense.
Robinson's receiving ability adds to the linebackers' assignment. They must fill the gaps against the run, close space after catches, and communicate when Atlanta changes the formation. Buchanan and Higgins provide depth behind the primary rotation. Jones signed back to the practice squad Oct. 1 after being waived from the active roster.
Cornerbacks: Marlon Humphrey remains questionable
Active roster: Marlon Humphrey, Nate Wiggins, Chidobe Awuzie, Chandler Rivers, Keyon Martin.
Practice squad: Amani Oruwariye, Lardarius Webb Jr.
Humphrey returned to limited practice Friday but remains questionable with hamstring and calf injuries. Awuzie provides a veteran option if Baltimore needs to redistribute snaps.
Drake London makes this a demanding matchup for the available corners. The Ravens need to challenge completions without allowing their coverage to break down when Penix extends a play. If Humphrey cannot go, Baltimore's ability to keep its preferred coverage calls available will depend on the remaining group holding up.
Safeties: Kyle Hamilton is available after a groin issue
Active roster: Kyle Hamilton, Malaki Starks, Jaylinn Hawkins, Keondre Jackson, K'Von Wallace.
Hamilton practiced Thursday and Friday fully and received no game designation. He has 33 tackles, while Starks has 23 tackles and a sack.
Hamilton's availability gives Baltimore flexibility against Atlanta's formations and receiving threats.
Specialists: Tyler Loop's range gives Baltimore another scoring option
Active roster: Tyler Loop, Ryan Eckley, Nick Moore.
Loop is 6-for-8 on field goals and has made all three attempts from 50+ yards. That includes his 64-yard kick against Tennessee. Eckley has averaged 46.5 yards on 15 punts, placing seven inside the 20.
Those contributions can support an offense starting its backup quarterback, but Baltimore still needs touchdowns when it reaches the red zone. Wester handles punt returns, with Moore among the kickoff-return options. Clean coverage and avoiding penalties would help the Ravens make the most of their kicking game.
