Lamar Jackson was absent from Ravens
practice again Friday, leaving Tyler Huntley increasingly likely to make his second consecutive start Sunday against the Browns. Brian Wacker reported that Jackson remained sidelined with the ankle injury he suffered during Baltimore's Week 4 victory over Tennessee. Jackson was listed as a nonparticipant Wednesday and Thursday before missing the start of Friday's session. The Ravens had not announced a final game designation at the time of the report. Coach Jesse Minter has said Jackson could play without practicing, but another absence leaves Huntley preparing to lead Baltimore into its first AFC North matchup.
Huntley helped the Ravens overcome an eight-point fourth-quarter deficit in Atlanta last week, delivering
a late touchdown pass to Devontez Walker before Derrick Henry's two-point conversion forced overtime. Huntley then scored the go-ahead rushing touchdown in Baltimore's 30-23 victory.

That performance helped the Ravens improve to 4-1 and maintain a one-game division lead. Cleveland enters Sunday at 3-2, giving Baltimore a chance to widen the gap on one of its closest pursuers. A win would put the Ravens two games ahead of the Browns and give them an early head-to-head advantage. A loss would leave both teams at 4-2, with Cleveland holding that advantage.
For Huntley, another start would come with a full week of preparation while Jackson continued his recovery. Baltimore's final injury report will clarify Jackson's official status, but Friday's development points toward the Ravens relying on their backup quarterback again.
