Lamar Jackson returned to the field for Thursday’s practice, giving the Ravens another encouraging development ahead of Sunday’s matchup against Cincinnati. Jamison Hensley and Brian Wacker reported Jackson’s presence during the opening portion available to reporters. It marked a significant step after the quarterback missed that portion Wednesday before getting limited work later.
Jackson was officially listed as limited Wednesday with the ankle injury he suffered against Tennessee on Oct. 4. Thursday’s appearance builds on that progress, although his participation level and availability against the Bengals remain to be determined. Before the injury, Jackson completed 68 of 96 passes for 967 yards, six touchdowns and one interception, producing
a 119.6 passer rating. He also rushed for 144 yards and a touchdown on 19 carries, averaging 7.6 yards per attempt.

Baltimore has gone 1-1 in his absence, beating Atlanta in overtime before falling 13-10 at Cleveland. Tyler Huntley completed 19 of 31 passes for 165 yards and a touchdown against the Browns, but the Ravens went scoreless over the final three quarters.
Jackson’s return would add a different dimension to an offense seeking more consistency. His 10.1 yards per pass attempt this season reflects the explosive passing production Baltimore had before his injury.
The Ravens host a rested Bengals team Sunday with another important division result at stake. Thursday’s official injury report and Jackson’s response to the increased workload will clarify whether he can make his first appearance since Week 4.
