Ronnie Stanley’s availability is one of Baltimore’s biggest questions heading into its Week 4 matchup with Tennessee.
The Ravens listed Stanley as questionable
with a toe injury after he practiced on a limited basis Wednesday and Thursday but did not participate Friday. His late-week absence does not guarantee he will sit out, but it creates legitimate uncertainty about whether he can protect Lamar Jackson’s blind side Sunday.Baltimore is already reshuffling its offensive line after injuries to centers Jovaughn Gwyn and Ethan Pocic, both of whom have been ruled out. Rookie first-round pick Vega Ioane is preparing to make his first NFL start at center after beginning the season at guard.
Losing Stanley would create another change in a unit preparing
for Jeffery Simmons, John Franklin-Myers, and an aggressive Tennessee front. Carson Vinson replaced Stanley after the veteran aggravated his toe injury against New Orleans and would be an option at left tackle for the second straight week if Stanley cannot play.
The Ravens could also provide extra protection through tight ends, running backs and condensed formations. That assistance, however, could limit how many eligible receivers Baltimore sends into routes and complicate the offense’s attempt to create explosive plays.
Stanley's official availability will be confirmed when the Ravens release their inactive list about 90 minutes before kickoff.
