Baltimore Ravens offensive coordinator Declan Doyle will recognize one of the coaches attempting to identify weaknesses in his new system on Sunday. Doyle’s younger brother, Dillon, is in his first season as a defensive quality control coach with the Indianapolis Colts
. This week, his responsibilities include studying Baltimore’s offense and helping Indianapolis develop its defensive game plan for the season opener.The brothers have kept their distance as the matchup approaches.
“We haven’t talked in a while,” Declan Doyle said. “I love my brother, but it is what it is.”
Dillon Doyle spent the 2025 season as a coaching intern with the Buffalo Bills after working as an offensive assistant at Central Michigan during spring workouts. His playing
background should also help him evaluate Baltimore’s offense. Doyle appeared in 53 games with 37 starts at Iowa and Baylor, compiling 251 tackles, 11½ tackles for loss, two sacks, eight passes defensed and three interceptions. He earned second-team All-Big 12 honors in 2022 after playing linebacker and fullback.

With the Ravens opening the season at the Colts, Declan said he hasn’t talked to Dillon for a while.

His older brother now has one of the NFL’s most significant offensive assignments: building a system around Lamar Jackson, Derrick Henry and Baltimore’s talented collection of skill players. The family’s football connections extend beyond Sunday’s matchup. Their brother, Donovan, works in the New York Jets’ personnel department.
Family conversations can resume after Week 1. For now, Declan is attempting to keep Baltimore’s intentions hidden while Dillon searches for every possible clue on film.
