The Ravens needed every second of Sunday’s game in Brazil to get their second win. They needed the win just as badly in the AFC North race.
Baltimore’s 34-31 victory over Dallas moved it to 2-1. Pittsburgh, Cleveland and Cincinnati have the same record entering Week 4, leaving all four division teams level after three games. The NFL currently lists the Steelers first and Ravens second, followed by the Browns and Bengals.
AFC North standings entering Week 4
Pittsburgh gained an early divisional advantage by beating Cincinnati in Week 3. Baltimore and Cleveland have yet to play an AFC North game, so the Ravens’ win over Dallas kept them level in the overall standings without settling anything within the division.
What comes next for Baltimore
The Ravens return home to face the Tennessee Titans on Sunday, Oct. 4.
Pittsburgh visits Cleveland on Thursday night, guaranteeing that at least one division rival will take another loss before Baltimore kicks off. Cincinnati hosts Jacksonville on Sunday. Plenty of the season remains, and the Ravens have all six of their AFC North games ahead of them. For now, escaping Dallas with a win prevented an early gap from opening and put Baltimore back in the thick of a division where nobody has separated after three weeks.
