Expectations surrounding hitter Lauren Dreves have risen entering the 2026 season after she made a splash as a sophomore for Auburn volleyball last season.
Dreves, who landed an All-SEC honor last season as well as a spot on the AVCA First Team All-South Region team, has been named to the Preseason All-SEC team ahead of the 2026 season. She lands a spot on the team alongside fellow outside hitters Jordyn Byrd (Florida), Bianna Muoneke (Georgia), and Jurnee Robinson (LSU).
Dreves made a name for herself last season by logging 375 kills and 16 assists offensively while recording 220 digs and 64 blocks on defense. Dreves set three season highs in Auburn's road match at LSU by recording 24 kills, 24.5 points, and 15 digs in Baton Rouge. She also made six
blocks against Kentucky last October and three assists against Texas last November.
Auburn volleyball will look to Dreves to lead the program as they look to capitalize on their 17-win campaign in 2025. Auburn was picked to finish seventh in the SEC this season with 142 points, one spot behind Georgia and ahead of LSU. Kentucky is projected to win the SEC this season with nine first-place votes. Texas is next in line with 216 points and six first-place votes.
