One of the major highlights from Auburn football's 21-15 win over Vanderbilt in Week 4 was a blocked punt that was returned for a touchdown.

in the 2nd quarter of last Saturday's game. Once the ball was blocked, it traveled high in the air, ultimately landing at the 10-yard line. Cade Carlson ultimately recovered the ball and returned it for a touchdown to push Auburn ahead 14-3 with 8:53 to go in the first half.Special teams coordinator Jacob Bronowski reflected on the play this week and credited his team's execution of the block to stellar preparation at practice in the week leading up to the game.
“If you look at the duration of the week and our process, the practice squad
guys are giving a great look," Bronowski said. "Like Hunter Ousley, Ryan Ghea, William Grier McDuffie were actually in the shield, kind of giving the cadence to do the same thing their guys do."
Bronowski went on to call the play "game-changing," as Vanderbilt went on to outscore Auburn 13-7 the rest of the game, and it would not have happened if not for the efforts of Mabson. Bronowski is proud of Mabson for showing just how valuable he is to the team outside of being a complementary running back to Jeremiah Cobb.
"Omar puts his body on the line. Everybody saw it on Saturday, but what you don't see is that Omar did that in spring ball practice 12, Omar did that fall ball practice 3. He loves football, and he is gonna go all-out every single day," Bronowski said.
Auburn football hopes the momentum from last Saturday's win over Vanderbilt will carry over into Week 5's matchup at No. 17 Tennessee. The Tigers and Volunteers will meet up on Saturday at 2:30 p.m. CT in Neyland Stadium in Knoxville, Tennessee.
