Auburn football lost its recent game to the No. 12 Ole Miss Rebels last Saturday, and with it comes another drop in the USA TODAY 1-138 re-rank.
Auburn is No. 50 in this week's ranking, compiled by USA TODAY Sports' Paul Myerberg, down five spots from last week's update. Auburn has now fallen 24 spots in the USA TODAY re-rank after upsetting the top-ranked Georgia Bulldogs three weeks ago. However, the Tigers are still 13 points higher than their lowest ranking of the season. Ole Miss remains locked in at No. 11 after its win over Auburn.
Nebraska suffered the biggest drop of the week by falling 18 spots to No. 49 after losing to Washington last Saturday, and Auburn's SEC rival Oklahoma took the conference's biggest hit, dropping 15 spots to No. 47
after losing to South Carolina at home.
Auburn's next opponent, Arkansas, dropped four spots to No. 88 after losing to Missouri. Auburn will face just one more team ranked in Myerberg's re-rank, No. 13 Alabama, on Nov. 28.
