The depth chart ahead of Auburn football's first SEC matchup of the season against Florida has been released on Monday.
The next big test for Alex Golesh and this Auburn team is the visiting Florida Gators coming to the Plains on Saturday. Their first SEC game of the 2026 season, with a ton of storylines attached to this game. Auburn was favoring former Tulane and now Florida head coach Jon Sumrall in its coaching search after the firing of Hugh Freeze. The Gators land Sumrall and the Tigers bring in Golesh. Two coaches that will be linked throughout their first season as a head coach in the SEC.
To look at the Tigers, Auburn's offensive line still needs to be cleaned up. Five of the seven penalties that came against Auburn's offense were on the offensive line.
This past Saturday, we saw a more of mix a guard positions with true freshman Wilson Zeierer come in at guard. The left guard position still seems to be an uncertainty with Jacob Strand, Jack Leyrer, and Deryc Plazz listed as "OR" for the depth chart.
A bright thing to see is EDGE Da'Shawn Womack listed in the depth chart. The transfer edge rusher is going to be needed to cause pressure on Florida quaterback Aaron Philo and make his visit in Jordan-Hare as uncomfortable as can be. Auburn's defense will get a challenge against its first SEC level offense.
