Auburn basketball has landed another priority target, securing a commitment from four-star power forward Davis Cochran, who committed to the Tigers Tuesday on social media.
Cochran also considered the Tennessee Volunteers, Vanderbilt Commodores, Clemson Tigers, and Cincinnati Bearcats, visiting all five schools before making his decision. Auburn entered the race late, offering him a scholarship only on Aug. 24, but got him on campus for an official visit on Sept. 4 and eventually won the battle for the Brentwood, Tennessee product.
He is ranked as the No. 121 overall player and No. 24 power forward in the 247Sports composite. He is also the No. 2 player from Tennessee.
Cochran had a record-breaking junior season at Brentwood Academy, helping lead
them to a 30-4 record and a regional championship. He finished the season averaging 22.0 points, 10.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists, and 1.9 blocks per game.
He is Auburn's second commitment in the 2027 recruiting cycle, joining four-star point guard Jason Gardner Jr., the No. 64 player in the country. The Tigers now have the 5th-best recruiting class in the country and second-best in the SEC, according to 247Sports.
