Week 7 of the college football season is here, and ESPN's premier preview show is back to pick college football's most intriguing games.
This week, "College GameDay" was in Provo, Utah, for the top-10 showdown between the No. 2 Notre Dame Fighting Irish and the No. 7 BYU Cougars
. It was the second time that College GameDay originated from BYU, and the first since the Cougars' 2009 matchup with TCU when both teams competed in the Mountain West Conference.This week, the usual lineup of Rece Davis, Kirk Herbstreit, Desmond Howard, Pat McAfee, and former Alabama head coach Nick Saban made their picks for this week's biggest games, with Steve Young serving as this week's celebrity guest picker.
Young played quarterback for the Cougars from 1980-83,
and later became the first overall pick in the 1984 USFL Draft after winning the Davey O'Brien Award, the Sammy Baugh Trophy, and the WAC Player of the Year in 1983. Young was just as successful as a pro, winning three Super Bowls with the San Francisco 49ers. He was named MVP twice and made seven Pro Bowls over his 14-year NFL career.
