Former Auburn forward Johni Broome has found a new home just before the NBA season begins.
The Milwaukee Bucks announced Tuesday that they have signed Broome after waiving John Butler Jr. Broome joins the Bucksafter being traded from the Philadelphia 76ers to the Los Angeles Clippers
in July, shortly after the 76ers signed LeBron James. Broome completed one year of his four-year, $8.6 million contract with the 76ers organization.Broome never got the chance to suit up for the Clippers after being waived last month. He will look to get a fresh start with the Bucks after a strong stay in the NBA Summer League, averaging 14.7 points, 9.0 rebounds, and 1.7 assists in three games with the 76ers.
In his rookie season, Broome averaged five minutes per
game over 11 games, scoring 0.9 points and pulling down 1.5 rebounds per game. He played two games in the NBA Playoffs, with his best game being against the NBA Champion New York Knicks, scoring seven points in three minutes in the 76ers' 144-114 loss.
