Allijah Huzzie will eventually play against theHouston Texans, but not for them in 2026.
The Jacksonville Jaguars plan to sign Huzzie to their 53-man roster entering Sunday's road trip to London, according to KRPC 2 Sports' Aaron Wilson. Since Huzzie was on the Texans' practice squad, he opted to leave because Houston elected not to add him to the active roster.
As a replacement, the Texans plan to sign former Kansas State and Dallas Cowboys running back Deuce Vaughn to the practice squad. Vaughn was on the Texans' practice squad during training camp before being released during final roster cutdowns.
Vaughn should be the replacement for running back Noah Whittington, who suffered a torn quadriceps in practice and is expected to miss the remainder
of the season.
Houston also placed cornerback Jaylin Smith on the injured reserve after leaving Sunday's 34-30 loss to the Dallas Cowboys in the third quarter with a hamstring strain.
The Texans hit the road to take on the Tennessee Titans this Sunday at Noon. The game will be televised on CBS.
