Everything now focuses into Week 1 for the Houston Texans.
Who' 's sticking around?
The Texans have until 5 p.m. on Sunday to trim their roster from 90 to 53 players. Cutdowns can officially begin on Saturday, though most moves aren't expected to be made until at least the early stages of Sunday morning.
There are a handful of players who have made a case for a roster spot after a strong preseason, but won’t make the cut because of other positions needing depth. After forming the 53-man roster, the Texans will start putting together their practice squad, which should feature some of those names who just missed the cut.
There will be some possible shocking cuts on the way around the NFL, meaning the initial 53-man roster won’t necessarily be the final
roster heading into Houston's Week 1 game against the Buffalo Bills.
Follow along with Texans Wire as we continue to trace all the roster cuts as they happen before Sunday's deadline.
