While the Houston Texansfell behind the Cincinnati Bengals and Joe Burrow in a 20-6 loss, at least Will Anderson Jr. showed up.
Anderson, who was held at bay in Sunday's 36-31 loss to the Buffalo Bills, exploded with five tackles, two sacks and three tackles for loss. Every play is seemed as if he got in the backfield and made life hell for Burrow and the run game whenever they ran it to his side.
During the first quarter, Anderson was able to get to the finish line and pull down Burrow on second down for a loss of eight. He was only credited with a half sack since Logan Hall delivered the crushing blow right before he hit the turf.
In the second quarter, it was a standalone sack. Anderson looked like a one-man wrecking crew, terrorizing the Bengals
offensive line and leaving no room for Burrow to take off running.

Then, in the fourth quarter, a combination of Anderson and Sheldon Rankins ended a scoring opportunity by bringing down Burrow for a loss of nine on third down, taking the Bengals out of range for a fourth-down conversion and a chance to score.

Anderson also had three stuffs on running back Chase Brown for a loss of 4, 3 and 7 yards.
For that, he is Texans Wire's Week 2 Player of the Game, joining running back David Montgomery for the prestigious honor. Anderson has won the award six times in the past, but Sunday marked his first time on the list in 2026.
The Texans hit the road next Sunday to take on the Indianapolis Colts at Lucas Oil Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for Noon CT.
