The Cardinals have been pushing for a second-round pick
in 2027, but given the nature of Houston's likelihood to be after Harrison, this could be the best offer presented, forcing Arizona to bend the knee
On Saturday, it was reported that the Texans had expressed interest in Harrison and could be looking to finalize a deal before their road trip to London for a showdown against According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, several teams have been in the mix for the former No. 4 overall pick, but it remains uncertain if the Texans are the favorites to agree to terms with the Cardinals for the rest of the regular season.
Part of the reason the Texans have been at the forefront of the conversation is relationships. If Harrison were to be traded to the Texans, he would be reunited with his college quarterback, C.J. Stroud, who has been the one positive of the team's 0-4 start.
The Texans also have been aggressive in trades with Arizona general manager Monti Ossenfort, shipping off a slew of draft picks in 2023 to move up and select All-Pro defensive end Will Anderson Jr.
One team that has had Marvin Harrison trade talks with Arizona is Houston, sources tell me and @rapsheet. Houston has been, and is thought to be, square in the mix for Harrison. But as one Texans source said about the team’s interest in Harrison, “I can’t confirm or deny at this… https://t.co/qEGc9qsJDs

After a slow start to the past two seasons, conversations began brewing that Harrison could be traded entering 2026. Chatter became quiet after the season began, with Harrison remaining the second-best option at wide receiver.
In four games, Harrison has five catches on 12 targets for 85 yards and a touchdown, though he's the fifth-most targeted option for the Cardinals' offense. Tight end Trey McBride, wide receiver Michael Wilson, wide receiver Kendrick Bourne and running back Jeremiyah Love all have more targets than Harrison and he's tied with the sixth-most receptions.
A two-time All-American and considered a generational wideout prospect, Harrison had 1,578 yards and 13 catches in 33 games with the Cardinals. In two years, he's never hit 1,000 yards in a season and has dealt with multiple injuries. Last season, he played in 12 games, in which he caught 41 passes for 608 yards and four touchdowns.
The Texans' passing game ranks sixth in the NFL entering a must-win game for the AFC South contenders to get back in the race. Currently, Houston only has one sufficent weapon at wide receiver in Pro Bowler Nico Collins, though there's potential with young targets like second-year wideut Jaylin Noel.
This season, Collins leads all wide receivers in targets (18) and receptions (14) for 193 yards and three touchdown receptions. Noel is averaging over 24 yards per catch, but he only has eight receptions for 186 yards.
Harrison, a 2024 draft pick, is due $4 million this year and $5.62 million next year and also has a fifth-year option decision coming up this offseason. Should the Texans trade for him, he'd be in Houston through the 2028 season.
Harrison $22.5 million signing bonus was already paid by the Cardinals, so whoever picks up the price tag would also have to negotiate how much they'd be willing to pay for that deal.
Houston will look to avoid an 0-5 start for the first time since 2005 with a win on Sunday at Nissan Stadum.
