It's no longer a leak, but instead the real thing.
On Tuesday morning, FOX News leaked the Houston Texans' highly anticipated "Rivalries" jerseys ahead of the 2026 season, along with the rest of the AFC South teams and all four rosters in the NFC North.
An announcement was expected to come on Tuesday afternoon, but with the leak confirming the jersey, Houston chose to make it official at 9 a.m. locally.

“We are so proud to finally reveal our Rivalries uniforms,” Texans Chair and CEO Cal McNair said. “From the beginning, we charged our team with creating something meaningful for Houston and Texans fans, and they delivered. As a native Houstonian, I know how special the details of this
uniform are and we hope our fans will take great pride in the fact that it is so unique to our city. The white helmet is a special nod to the beginning of our franchise as we celebrate our 25th Season and we can’t wait to see our players take the field in these uniforms.”
The Texans are calling the jerseys the HOUSTON/US uniform, a homage to the past and present of Houston vibes. With a combination of Liberty White, H-Town Blue and Battle Red, the uniform combines Houston’s signature blue-and-white street tiles with details inspired by the iconic “Be Someone” bridge and custom car culture, tying back to the US part of the uniforms with a red sticthing on the collar and shoulder pads.

“This is the most Houston uniform that will ever grace the gridiron,” Texans Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer Doug Vosik said. “Our mission with the NFL and Nike when designing this uniform was simple: ignite our community, fanbase and city through hyper-local storytelling. Following the success of our 2024 rebrand, this was the perfect opportunity for us to build on that momentum, continue listening to our fans, and showcase the pride, passion and identity that make Houston special. We’re excited to tell a story through our uniforms that we haven’t told yet and for all of H-Town to embrace this new look.”
The Texans plan to wear these jerseys in a home game in Week 11 on Thursday night football against the Indianapolis Colts. This now joins Houston's four other jersey combinations it has through the 2029 season.
"Nike has a rich history with football, and we’re excited to partner with the NFL on this new Rivalries program to help grow the sport and expand it for the next generation,” Ryan Airhart, Director, NFL Apparel Product Design at Nike, said last year. “Each uniform was designed in collaboration with the club it represents to authentically reflect what makes their team, fans and communities wholly unique."

Rivalries merchandise will go on sale on Tuesday, Sept. 1 on Fanatics.com and will be available at the Texans Team Shop from 9 a.m. – 8 p.m.
Texans Fans are also invited to shop Rivalries merchandise at the Houston Texans Mobile Team Shop Truck at City Centre on Saturday, Sept. 5, from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.
