WATCH: Texans Pro Bowl RB David Montgomery secures hat trick TD game vs. Bills

You cannot overstate the impact running back David Montgomery has had in the Houston Texans’ season opener against the Buffalo Bills.

After getting two rushing touchdowns, Montgomery got his first receiving touchdown of the game to give Houston a 28-27 lead.

This has been a much higher-scoring affair than when these two teams faced off last season. Between the two teams, they had five straight scoring drives in the first half, although there was only a field goal scored in the third quarter and the Bills were forced to punt on their first drive in the second half.

Following Montgomery’s

touchdown, the Bills responded with a field goal to get the lead back with a score of 30-28 with most of the fourth quarter remaining.
