After being with the Houston Texans since 2021, tight end Brevin Jordan's time has come to an end.
According to reports, Jordan was part of the roster cuts during final roster moves Sunday afternoon.
This is the first time Jordan will be a free agent in his entire NFL career.

Drafted out of Miami by Houston back in the fifth round of the 2021 NFL Draft, Jordan never was a regular starter, but he played in 36 games from 2021 to 2023 while being a factor in the passing game. In three seasons, he recorded 53 receptions for 532 yards and five touchdowns.
Injuries plagued him and his status over the past
two years. In 2024, he tore his ACL in the second week of the season and missed the remainder of the year and in 2025, he tore a patellar tendon in practice and missed all of that season. He also recently had a knee issue during training camp.
Going into training camp this year, he was listed as the fourth tight end on the roster in Houston’s first unofficial depth chart, signaling that Jordan had an uphill battle to make the Texans’ initial 53-man roster. His progress was promising in training camp before his knee injury, which ultimately set him back and led to his release.
Because he has accrued more than four seasons in the NFL, Jordan does not go on the waiver wire and instantly becomes a free agent, so any NFL team can pick him up.
The fan favorite could still make it in the pros, but it won't be with the Texans.
