The Houston Texans are looking for better results this Thursday evening compared to last week's debacle.
Of course, it's the preseason and anything can happen. Teams will often go 3-0, feel as if they've turned the corner and proceed to finish with a losing record. The same goes for teams who drop the first two matchups against playoff contenders, but instead make a run toward the Super Bowl.
For the Texans, they just want better results and a more promising outlook against the Las Vegas Raiders in the final preseason game at Reliant Stadium.
The Texans and Raiders will air locally on ABC at 7 p.m. CT Thursday evening, with 100.3 and 95.7 The Fan. According to BetMGM, the Texans open as a 1.5 -point favorite at home over Los Angeles, with the over/under
set at 37.5.
Houston won't be at full strength. Initially, Texans coach DeMeco Ryans announced that starters who were healthy would play, but after Tuesday's joint practice in front of fans, plus the season-ending loss of second-year wideout Jayden Higgins to a torn ACL, that plan has changed.
Houston still will have several players see action, including potential starters, but it's likely they'll be out there for a drive or two at most.
