It's all about history for the Houston Texans.
And for those who call H-Town home instead of coming up with "Freezing Cold Takes" on the internet, that couldn't be more sad, it's clear the city's impact on the "Rivalries" jerseys mean more than the previous occupants.
The new-look jerseys feature countless homages to the H-Town vibes, both past and present. In an interview with the Houston Chronicle, Texans' chief marketing officer Doug Vosik made sure to have the new designs focus key aspects of the city, like the Light Blue street tiles, the 'Be Someone' artwork and the city's infatuation with collector cars.
The Light Blue street titles pop the most throughout the entire uniform, most notably on the collar and around the pant legs. Inside each
is a Candy Red paint design to tie in the car theme, which has commonly been the key color on vechicles around the city.
The 'Be Someone' artwork is used in the numbers font on both the front and back of the jerseys. Much like the letters in the overpass that have a split between them, Vosik told the Chronicle that the key detail was important to put in for the spacing of the numbers.

There was also a subtle homage to Texans founder and initial owner Bob McNair regarding the white helmet. When the Texans were revealed as the NFL's 32nd franchise, McNair initially envisioned the franchise having a white helmet with the iconic bull logo on the side. He even hoisted a white helmet in the air during the team's name announcement party in 2000.
Ultimately, the Texans opted for the now-legendary Deep Steel Blue helmet that has been the primary color for 25 seasons. In honor of the 25th season and the legacy of the McNair family, the white helmet will finally make its debut.
