While the Houston Texans won on the road against an AFC South opponent, their run game might have taken a hit before they travel across the pond.
Running back David Montgomery suffered a groin injury in the first half of the team's 26-3 win over the Tennessee Titansand didn’t return. After the game, Texans coachDeMeco Ryans told reporters the injury could be lingering.
"He may miss some time," Ryans told reporters in Nashville.
Acquired from the Detroit Lions this offseason, Montgomery was expected to be a boost to the offense that struggled with rushing last fall amid a 12-win season. Aside from his three-touchdown day in the season-opening loss to the Buffalo Bills, the former Chicago lead back hasn't gotten much going.
Since rushing for 60 yards
and two scores against Buffalo, Montgomery has totaled 78 yards on 32 carries and hasn’t found the end zone since Week 1. Woody Marks, who was the team's top back last season, has been the more consistent runner, totaling two touchdown runs while averaging just under 4.0 yards per attempt.
Montgomery finished with 11 yards in the first quarter before being ruled out. Marks took over 63 yards on 15 carries, as well as 22 receiving yards on four catches. He also had a 24-yard touchdown run in the second quarter, but it was called back because of a Brevin Jordan holding penalty.

Although the run game hasn't been great, losing Montgomery for any period isn't ideal. The Texans are becoming one of the league's most pass-happy offenses entering Week 6, but you never want to force the hand of a team and make them one-dimensional out of necessity.
Houstn, which ranks 30th in rushing yards and 29th in yards per attempt, hits the road for London this week to take on the Jacksonville Jaguars at Wembley Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. local time on NFL Network.
