The Houston Texans have been in this position before.
Last season, they started the year 0-2 and lost their Week 3 matchup. The good news? They were able to win 12 of their final 14 games to get into the playoffs with a 12-5 record, as well as securing a win over Pittsburgh in the wild-card round.
Obviously, Houston would like to avoid getting to 0-3 again. The franchise was in a bigger hole last year when they started out with three losses because the Indianapolis Colts won their first three games.
Luckily, the Texans are not in that same situation, as the Colts do not look like the beginning of last year and every team in the AFC South except the Jacksonville Jaguars currently sits at 0-2.
For Texans head coach DeMeco Ryans, the focus for the rest
of the season is to trust the process and execute. They are not harping on the record but are instead focusing on everything it takes to get those wins.
"It's trusting the process,” Ryans said. “It is also just going out and executing it. Not just sticking with what we've coached. Players sticking with what's worked, just going out and executing at the right way and coaches is taking a deep dive, looking at ourselves to make sure we're coaching it as best we can. It all starts with us first as coaches. We coach it better and we'll play better."

Houston has a chance to get its first win of the season against the Colts on Sunday. Indianapolis’ defense has given up the most passing yards, the second-most rushing yards and the most total yards of any NFL team through the first two weeks of the NFL season.
Especially with the Texans’ defense, which was able to contain Colts running back Jonathan Taylor last season, this is certainly a game Houston can win to get to 1-2.
Kickoff from Lucas Oil Stadium is scheduled for Noon. The game will be televised on CBS.
