On Sunday, the Texans finalized their initial 53-man roster, which included some difficult cuts and some surprising moves. Overall, the biggest surprise was the number of offensive linemen kept and the limited number of receivers retained.
Houston enters the year with just three safeties, three running backs, five wideouts and 12 offensive linemen. What does that mean for the squad? There's going to be some practice squad players who will see immediate action.
Nick Caserio will spend the next 12 hours building the 16-man practice squad, which will likely consist of some familiar faces waived during the final roster cutdowns.
