Jadeveon Clowney is back with the Houston Texans and it felt like he never left.
Clowney, who returned to Houston after a seven-year hiatus, delivered the first Texans' sack of the 2026 season. The former 2014 No. 1 overall pick bullied past Buffalo Bills right tackle Spencer Brown to bring down All-Pro quarterback Josh Allen for a loss of six.

On a one-year deal, Clowney hopes to pick up where he left off in Houston back in 2019. The 33-year-old still has enough juice left in the tank after totaling a team-leading 8.5 sacks and 12 tackles for loss as a member of the Dallas Cowboys.
Two drives into the new
campaign, he's already delivering better than Texans fans could have expected.
"Jadeveon’s done a good job. He's worked himself back," Texans head coach DeMeco Ryans said of Clowney this week. "He'll be ready to go.”
The Texans will begin the second half on offense after deferring in the first half.
