It didn't take long for former Wisconsin Badgers running back Braelon Allen to remind everyone what he can do when he's healthy.
After missing most of last season with a knee injury, Allen returned to action for the New York Jets in their preseason opener against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He made his presence felt immediately, breaking loose for a 31-yard touchdown in the first quarter.
Allen found a hole on the right side before accelerating through the defense and into the end zone. Tight end Jeremy Ruckert also provided a key block to help spring the former Badger for the big play.

The touchdown was particularly meaningful
considering Allen had been sidelined for roughly 11 months. His return gives the Jets another physical option in their backfield alongside Breece Hall and Isaiah Davis.
Allen was a fourth-round pick by New York in the 2024 NFL Draft after a standout collegiate career in Wisconsin. He rushed for more than 3,800 yards and had 25 touchdowns across three seasons with the Badgers before making the jump to the NFL.
Now healthy and back on the field, Allen will give Jets fans and Badgers fans alike a pretty good reminder of what he's capable of.
