Under Luke Fickell, the Wisconsin Badgers will always be a team that leans towards a strong passing attack.
So far, through five games of the 2026 season, the Badgers have tallied the nation’s 53rd-best passing attack at 239.8 yards per game, but the country’s 81st-best rushing offense at 133 yards per game.
For players like Iowa State transfer Abu Sama III, until his recent injury, this is okay, as he is still chomping 6.8 yards per carry and is up to 190 yards so far this season.
However, for former running back Dilin Jones, he wanted more time on the ball and instead made the offseason move to the LSU Tigers, where he has seen just that.
With the Tigers sitting at 4-1 on the season, Jones has already notched 94 carries and five touchdowns. Jones is
currently averaging 85.2 yards per game and 4.5 yards per carry with a total of 426 yards on the ground.
