Not only is Ohio State the top team in our Big Ten power rankings, but ESPN's Football Power Index moved them back up to the No. 1 spot.
Remember, the FPI is a measure of team strength that is meant to be the best predictor of a team's performance going forward for the rest of the season. FPI represents how many points above or below average a team is. Projected results are based on 20,000 simulations of the rest of the season using FPI, results to date and the remaining schedule.
Wisconsin was one of the biggest risers in the FPI, going up eight spots. Double-digit risers included Northwestern and Purdue.
Illinois fell 10 spots, the largest drop of any team in the conference. To no surprise, Michigan also fell nine spots, and then Penn State continued
to plummet.
