Wisconsin native Bronson Koenig has officially announced his return to the court.
The Wisconsin Badgers legend sat down with Brian Butch to reveal the news, a decision that has been six years in the making.
Koenig, 31, last played for the Erie BayHawks, who were the New Orleans Pelicans' G-League affiliate in 2020.

He reveals the personal reasons he stepped away and why he's now in a much better headspace to return to the court. Gotta love seeing him back.

"It's now or never really," Koenig said on Butchie's Den. "I just didn't really like how I left off and how I retired six years ago. I was in a very
bad state mentally, emotionally, physically, spiritually, everything."
He continued, "I was just going through a lot at that time and I just never felt like I gave myself a fair shot. I'm in a much much better headspace now and I just want to see how that kind of plays out now."
Koenig, who played on the Badgers from 2013-17, was named Third-team All-Big Ten by the coaches in 2016, and then worked his way up to Second-team honors in 2017.
