Overall, a Big Ten schedule can be considered “easy” and still pin a team up against some elite opposition.
So while theWisconsin Badgers aren’t going up against Indiana, Ohio State, Oregon, or even Michigan, trouble still lurks around each corner through Halloween.
10/17 @ UCLA Bruins
For first-year head coach Bob Chesney, life could not have had a better start. The Bruins are the nation’s 10th-best offense, totaling 486.5 yards per game. All while marking scorelines of 45, 28, 52, and 54. Quarterback Nico Iamaleava is managing a steady 62.6% completion rate, and Chesney is enlisting four rushers over 100 yards in Iamaleava (143), Javian Thomas (155), Anthony Woods (269), and Wayne Knight (445).
10/24 vs. USC Trojans
Lincoln Riley is at a pivotal point in his USC tenure. Riley has managed
a 40-19 record but has yet to push the Trojans over the hump they feel they need. USC is walking a tightrope that starts with Penn State this week and is then followed by a trip to Camp Randall.
10/31 @ Iowa Hawkeyes
Per usual, the Hawkeyes will present a headache that will test the resolve of a sporadic quarterback like Colton Joseph. This game being at Kinnick doesn’t help matters. The Hawkeyes rank 34th in yards allowed per game at 322.0, while their offense ranks 104th at 328.5 yards per game.
