The Wisconsin Badgers defense no longer has to prepare to face Cam Edwards in Week 5.
On Monday, Sept. 28, Michigan State head coach Pat Fitzgerald revealed that the star running back will miss the rest of the season due to a right knee injury.
ESPN's Adam Rittenberg broke the news, and it's an incredibly tough break for a 2-2 Spartans team that is coming off a demoralizing 31-13 loss to Nebraska.
Edwards leads the team with 304 rushing yards, and it's not even close. The next closest is Jaziun Patterson who has 26 carries for 100 yards.

Clearly, the Iowa transfer is going to need to step up his game. Patterson, who spent his first four seasons at Iowa,
is 42 yards shy of 1,000 in his collegiate career.
The Spartans relied on Edwards far more than anyone else, as he made up nearly 42% of their carries this season and accounted for roughly 62% of the team's total rushing yards.
