Through the first four games of the year, the Wisconsin Badgers have the Big Ten's most difficult schedule.
According to ESPN's Football Power Index, the Badgers have not only the toughest schedule in the conference, but also the sixth toughest in the nation.
Sitting at 3-1 is quite impressive, knowing the Badgers opened the year against Notre Dame and also had Penn State to deal with.
It's also extremely interesting to note that Wisconsin's Week 5 opponent, Michigan State, is second in the conference with the eighth toughest strength of schedule in the nation, up to this point.
Other intriguing numbers, according to ESPN's FPI, include the fact that Wisconsin's strength of record rank is seventh in the nation, which is good for second in the Big
Ten, only behind fifth-ranked Iowa.
For reference, the Spartans' SOR is 55th, so that's nowhere near UW.
