Former Wisconsin Badgers starter Aleksas Bieliauskas wasted no time making an impact in his South Carolina debut.
The Gamecocks brought in the 6-foot-11 forward in the offseason, and it seems to have immediately paid off.
Bieliauskas, a Lithuanian native, scored 10 points in his season debut. Bieliauskas started the game, totaling 28 minutes which was tied for the second most of any Gamecocks starter.
Bieliauskas entered the transfer portal after his lone year with the Badgers, where he started 28 of the 35 games he appeared in.
Greg Gard had Bieliauskas on the court for an average of 20.2 minutes per game.
In addition to scoring 10 points against Stetson, Bieliauskas grabbed four rebounds and had a pair of assists. He shot 4-for-6 from the field
and made both of his free throws.
