There are only three teams in the nation that saw a bigger rise than the Wisconsin Badgers in USA TODAY's 1-138 re-rank.
When looking at the 138 college football teams in the nation, Wisconsin's Week 4 upset at Penn State resulted in them surging 22 spots in the rankings.
Officially, the only teams to have a bigger rise were:
- No. 84 Stanford (+24)
- No. 17 UCLA (+23)
- No. 101 Alabama-Birmingham (+23)
Wisconsin, which jumped up to No. 38 in the rankings, received votes in both the AP Poll and the US LBM Coaches Poll after their big weekend win.
A few teams fell 20+ spots, so that certainly helped the Badgers' case, and there's certainly a world where UW cracks the top 25 by the time the season comes to an end.
