The Wisconsin Badgers men's basketball class of 2027 took a huge hit when Jack Thelen decommitted.
Thelen, a four-star center, announced he was reopening his recruitment on Wednesday, Oct. 14, according to ESPN's Jeff Borzello and Pete Thamel.
Officially, he ended the summer as ESPN's No. 14 center.
The 7-foot-1 Minnesota native was the team's second commitment on June 13. He committed roughly one week after guard Jalen Brown.

Thankfully for Greg Gard
and Co., they still have a pair of incoming four-star players in Brown and Baboucarr Ann.
Brown committed on June 5, and Ann committed on June 25, and together, the trio gave UW one of the best recruiting classes in the nation.
Now that Thelen has decommitted, the Badgers fell from the nation's No. 7 overall class to No. 23, according to 247Sports.
