The Wisconsin Badgers have had several former players look to make their case on why they deserve a spot in the NBA.
Center Steven Crowl is no different. After five years with the Badgers, Crowl averaged 9.7 points, 5.6 rebounds and 2 assists on a 52.5% field goal rate.
While Crowl went undrafted in the 2025 cycle, he soon found a home with the Utah Jazz, who brought him on thanks to anExhibit 10 contract for the 2025 season. Crowl did not see a minute of NBA action, but with Utah’s G-League affiliate, the Salt Lake City Stars, Crowl averaged 6 points with a strong 69.9% field goal percentage. Not only that, but he also averaged 6.5 rebounds and 2.6 assists per game.
Heading into the 2026 NBA Summer League, Crowl signed a Summer League deal with
the Detroit Pistons, where he averaged 1.7 points, 3 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 13 minutes per game.
As of publishing, Crowl has not been signed by the Pistons or any other organization, but there is every chance Crowl will spend another year plying his trade in the G-League, waiting for his shot.
