The Wisconsin Badgers vs. Iowa Hawkeyes matchup has turned into one of the most even college football rivalries around. The overall record sits at 49-48-2, favoring the Badgers by a narrow one game. The 2026 matchup between these two takes on Saturday, Oct. 31. It was recently revealed that this will be the FOX Big Noon kickoff game.
This year's Battle for the Heartland Trophy game takes place on Halloween, and Iowa announced that tickets are officially sold out.

The Badgers’ two losses have come against the Notre Dame Fighting Irish and the UCLA Bruins. There's no shame in losing to a pair of ranked teams, but that number could soon become three if UW
falls to USC on Saturday, Oct. 24.
When it comes to Iowa, the Hawkeyes' lone loss of the season came against the Ohio State Buckeyes.
Last season, when the two met, the Hawkeyes destroyed the Badgers in a destructive 37-0 loss that saw Wisconsin tally just 209 yards.
