Florida State tried to pull off a late rally against the Clemson Tigers on Saturday night. They got within five points late in the fourth quarter, but they eventually fell 36-24, which dropped them to 3-5 on the season.
It was a struggle offensively for the Seminoles as they started the game with three consecutive three-and-outs. They also had four turnovers for the game, and they only had the ball for 25 minutes. On third down, they were atrocious with just one conversion on 10 attempts.
Needless to say, it was a disappointing performance for their offense as a whole. However, several players did stand out. Here's FSU's best offensive players versus Clemson.
Micahi Danzy
Danzy was the top wide receiver for Florida State on Saturday night. He caught four passes
for a team-high 108 yards, which included a 52-yard touchdown. This was his first 100-yard performance of the season and his fourth during his time at FSU.
Quintrevion Wisner
He didn't have a big rushing game, but Wisner was very solid all around. In addition to his 43 yards rushing, he added another 50 yards receiving on five receptions and had a crucial block that set up Danzy's touchdown. It was the third time in the last four games that Wisner has amassed over 90 all-purpose yards for the Seminoles.
Jasen Lopez
The true freshman tied Danzy for the most catches on Saturday night with four. However, none were bigger than his 40-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter that pulled Florida State within five points, giving him the first score of his collegiate career. He's certainly a player that the Seminoles need to get more involved offensively.
