Florida State earned a much-needed 31-24 road win over Boston College on Saturday, but the victory still came with several uneven individual performances.
According to Pro Football Focus, four of FSU’s five lowest grades came on offense, including two tight ends and a reserve offensive tackle. Defensive tackle Daniel Lyons was the lone defender to make the list.
Here are Florida State’s five lowest-graded players from the win.
5. Chase Loftin — 54.8
Loftin rounded out the bottom five after playing 20 snaps. His 52.5 receiving grade pulled down his overall score, while his pass blocking was much stronger at 71.3.
4. Landen Thomas — 53.6
Thomas played 41 offensive snaps and struggled most as a receiver, finishing with a 38.6 receiving grade. His 76.9 run-blocking grade was one of the better individual
marks in that area for FSU.
3. Chimdia Nwaiwu — 52.7
Nwaiwu appeared on only eight offensive snaps at right tackle, making his grade a small-sample result. He earned a 74.8 pass-blocking grade, but his 49.3 run-blocking mark lowered his overall score.
2. Daniel Lyons — 51.3
Lyons played 54 defensive snaps, including 30 as a pass rusher. His 48.0 run-defense grade dragged down his overall mark, though he still generated two pressures and two hurries.
1. Desirrio Riles — 49.0
Riles received FSU’s lowest overall grade after playing 38 offensive snaps. The tight end posted a 40.6 receiving grade, although his 64.4 run-blocking mark was considerably better. He was also charged with one penalty.
