Florida State will bring a pair of notable newcomers alongside head coach Luke Loucks when the ACC gathers in Charlotte next week. The conference announced Tuesday that Sebastian Rancik and Anthony Robinson II will represent the Seminoles with Loucks at the 2026 ACC Basketball Tipoff, which will be held Oct. 5-7 at the Hilton Charlotte Uptown in Charlotte, North Carolina.
All 18 ACC men’s basketball programs are scheduled to participate, with coaches and selected players meeting with media ahead of the 2026-27 season. ACC Network will provide live coverage from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day of the event.
For Florida State, the selections of Rancik and Robinson offer an early look at two players expected to occupy significant roles in Loucks’ second
season.
Rancik, a 6 foot 11 junior forward, transferred to FSU after two seasons at Colorado. He averaged 12.3 points and 5.6 rebounds per game in 2025-26 while starting 26 of 29 appearances for the Buffaloes. He also shot 86% from the free-throw line, the fourth-best mark in the Big 12. Loucks has described Rancik as a versatile front court piece capable of stretching the floor and defending multiple positions.
Robinson arrives from Missouri, where he played 96 games across three seasons. The Tallahassee native averaged 8.9 points, 3.0 assists and 1.6 steals per game last season, with his steals average ranking seventh in the SEC. Loucks has emphasized Robinson’s leadership, toughness and ability to run the point as Florida State reshapes its backcourt.
Both players are part of a roster overhaul designed to push Florida State forward after Loucks’ debut season. Their presence at ACC Tipoff also gives the Seminoles two representatives who could become central figures in how the team takes shape this winter.
The event will mark another milestone in the buildup to Year 2 under Loucks, giving Florida State its first major conference media appearance before the 2026-27 season begins.
