During their summer haul, FSU football was able to land a commitment from three-star edge Meshi Dobson in July. Simultaneously, he reclassified from the 2028 class to the 2027 one.
The latest development in his recruitment suggests that another move could happen soon. Per Zach Blostein of 247Sports, Dobson might reclassify back to the 2028 class.
Florida State three-star EDGE commit Meshi Dobson announced a reclassification up to the 2027 class, and a commitment to FSU, over the summer. However, months removed from those decisions, I am hearing he may reclassify down to 2028 again. After not taking summer classes, Dobson still has coursework to complete in order to graduate early, and it does not look like he'll have enough time to do that before
January. I hear it's likely he takes another.
He is the nation's No. 652 overall player and the No. 55 edge in 247Sports composite rankings. In the state of Florida, he's ranked as the No. 54 prospect.
This is an interesting development. For one, it would strengthen FSU's 2028 recruiting class that currently has three athlete Chayse Brown and three-star tight end Troy Silberzahn committed. Also, it could give the Seminoles more time to convince Dobson to stay if things go south this season and head coach Mike Norvell is let go.
