Florida State football is back above .500 after a record-breaking 38-7 win over Virginia, in which Ashton Daniels broke the record for quarterback rushing touchdowns with five, scoring all five of their touchdowns on the day.

Sports moved Florida State up to No. 49 in his weekly re-rank of all 138 FBS teams. He moved them up 12 spots from last week's rankings.Surrounding the Seminoles are the No. 48 Kansas State Wildcats and No. 50 Memphis Tigers. The Wildcats are 3-1 overall and 0-1 in Big 12 play. Memphis is 4-1 overall and 1-0 in the American.
Florida State is now the seventh-best ACC team per Myerberg's rankings, with Virginia Tech being the closest above them at No. 32. The Miami Hurricanes are the highest-ranked
ACC team at No. 4.
FSU will look to continue this streak of positive momentum when they take on the Louisville Cardinals - a team they have not faced on the road since 2022 - on Friday at 7 p.m. ET. The game will air on ESPN.
