The firing of Mike Norvell is the hottest topic around Florida State and the national landscape of college football. Now, the program looks towards the future as they search for a new head coach, other position coaches, and a new athletic director.
As things move forward for FSU, the attention turns to their recruiting classes. They have one of the top classes in 2028 at the moment. With a new staff set to come in, that does leave some uncertainty about the future of the program.
Three-star edge Meshi Dobson, who reclassified from the 2027 class to 2028, has been committed to Florida State since July. The latest update on his pledge is not favorable for the Seminoles. According to the 6-foot-3, 235-pounder, he'll probably be playing his collegiate
football elsewhere.
"Mostly likely decommitting, I will have to talk to [my coach]" Dobson told Zach Blostein of 247Sports.
Dobson is currently the No. 467 player nationally and the No. 43 edge in 247Sports composite rankings. They also have him listed as the No. 59 prospect in the state of Florida.
As things currently sit, edge coach Nick Williams will still be in Tallahassee going forward. He will look to do a good enough job to ensure Dobson, the future at FSU is bright enough for him to stick around.
