Florida State football landed one of the top running backs in the country when four-star Jayden Miles committed back in June. He's one of six blue-chip pledges they have out of their 17 committed players, and he's the sixth-highest-ranked recruit they've landed.
Before Miles gets back to terrorizing opposing defenses in his senior year, he got a huge honor on Monday, per Sam Spiegelman of Rivals. He was named to the Preseason All-State Team in Louisiana.
A multi-year starter for one of the state’s top programs, Miles is a workhorse for the Bears who churned out 1,264 yards and 18 TDs (8.2 YPC). Miles has played in several big contests for Catholic and is poised to do so again this season. He’s committed to Florida State.
Miles is the No. 396 prospect
nationally and the No. 27 running back on Rivals industry rankings. In the state of Louisiana, he's the No. 14 recruit.
He's one of the several offensive players in the Seminoles' 2027 class that has a ton of potential to contribute early. They also have four-star wide receiver Sean Green, three-star wide receiver Majay Thompson, and three-star quarterback Logan Flaherty who have committed as well.
FSU is looking to have a turnaround year after just seven wins over the previous two seasons. That's the only way that they can keep their class intact, and Miles is one of the top players they need to make sure remains committed to the program.
