2027 four-star linebacker Jeremiah Proctor has been on Florida State's radar for some time now. They offered him back in January, and they also hosted him for a visit during spring practice. However, Proctor committed to the Pittsburgh Panthers in June just days after taking an official visit to see them at the end of May.
This hasn't stopped FSU's pursuit of the 6-foot-4, 210-pounder. In fact, linebackers coach Ernie Sims is dug in on flipping him, per Benjamin Wolk of 247Sports.
Gainesville (Ga.) High linebacker Jeremiah Proctor remains committed to Pittsburgh. That hasn't changed, and nothing appears imminent. Notably, however, several other programs are starting to check-in with the versatile defensive athlete.
Florida State is among them.
Seminoles linebackers coach Ernie Sims swung by to see Proctor on Friday, and they're increasing the efforts with the currently-committed prospect.
Proctor is the nation's No. 376 overall prospect and the No. 31 linebacker in 247Sports composite rankings. In the state of Georgia, he's listed as the No. 44 recruit.
Before he committed to Pittsburgh, Proctor named Florida State as one of his top five schools. Now, they not only need to keep pushing hard to get a flip, but they need to win games as well. A good way to start is by getting an upset over the Alabama Crimson Tide this weekend.
