Florida State is looking to shed the skin of back-to-back losses and get back to winning this Saturday as they host the Central Arkansas Bears inside Doak Campbell Stadium. The game will kick off at 3 p.m. ET on the ACC Network.
Against the Alabama Crimson Tide last week, FSU showed signs of how explosive they could be versus a quality defense. They put up nearly 500 yards, and they scored 36 points. They also converted eight of their 15 third-down chances against a defense that only allowed one in their first two games.
This week brings a different challenge. Here are five offensive keys for Florida State as they look to be productive versus Central Arkansas.
Keep letting Ashton Daniels sling the football around
Against Alabama, Daniels threw three interceptions, which wasn't ideal. However, he also
had 377 yards passing and two touchdowns. He's more than capable of being productive as a passer, and he's got the weapons to do so. On Saturday, they need to let Daniels attack downfield.
Duce Robinson and Micahi Danzy should be focal points again
Before the Alabama game, Robinson and Danzy had yet to make a huge impact as neither reached 80 yards total in FSU's first two outings. Despite the loss, Robinson had six receptions for 135 yards and a touchdown, and Danzy gained 89 yards on three catches. That was certainly a confidence builder, and that should continue versus a lesser defense.
Continue to get Jayvan Boggs involved
He only had two catches against Alabama, but Boggs gained 69 yards. His 118 yards have already surpassed what he did as a freshman in 2025, as he dealt with injuries that limited him to eight games. Boggs has a ton of talent, and if he continues to make plays, his confidence will only grow.
Let Ousmane Kromah set the tone
Central Arkansas gave up over 150 yards a game rushing in their first two games. They've improved the last two weeks, but Florida State provides a tougher challenge with Kromah toting the football. He should get his third 100-yard game of the year, and that will open up things in the passing game.
Avoid turnovers
One thing Central Arkansas has done well defensively this season is create turnovers. They forced eight in four games with six interceptions to their credit. So, Daniels will need to be smart with the football and not allow the Bears defense to gain any confidence whatsoever.
