High school football is in full swing as teams have already played multiple or several games at this point. The Florida State Seminoles are looking to keep their top players in the 2027 class with a good season, and they won their first game last Saturday.
Several of them showcased why FSU wanted them on their roster last week. Here's a recap of the top performances by their commits.
Sam LeJeune
LeJeune is the second-highest-ranked prospect for the Seminoles in 2027, and he was a monster last Friday. The four-star defensive lineman ended up with five tackles, with four tackles for loss, three of which came in the first 14 minutes in Poplarville's 40-7 win over West Harrison.
Sean Green
The four-star wide receiver is having a great start to his senior year. After a receiving
touchdown and a rushing touchdown in his first game, Green was even better last Friday. He hauled in six receptions for 146 yards and three touchdowns as he helped Camden County defeat Glynn Academy.
Ta'Shawn Poole
Poole and Howard High School got annihilated 56-6 by Valdosta. However, the four-star safety shined as he recorded an interception and a sack. He also ran down four-star running back Marquis Fennell after he broke off a huge run. He's the top-ranked recruit for Florida State in 2027.
Jaxon Holly
Holly and Roswell lost to Newton 42-15. The three-star edge ended up with a big game, though, as he recorded nine total tackles, which included three tackles for loss. He had a big interception return for a touchdown in Roswell's season-opening win. So, he's off to a good start in his senior campaign.
